Global Climate Change

Our relationship with food is intrinsically a relationship with nature. Right now, that relationship is strained.  Climate change is the first and largest factor in this challenge. Habitats everywhere are rapidly changing and these changes are impacting the already delicate practice of farming.

Furthermore, smart water and energy production systems will become key factors as water scarcity increases and agriculture must reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.
 

Sustainability

The responsible use of resources is essential to guarantee the quality of life of future generations, and no global system has a greater social, economic and environmental impact on the world than our food production.

We are obligated to adopt the notion of a "food system" (production-distribution-consumption) as a basic unit, and to search for solutions to the unsustainability, inefficiency and insufficiency of contemporary production food systems.

Recycling

Agroindustrial by-products generated during food processing constitute a serious environmental threat when they end up accumulating as waste.

The main objective of recycling is to help future-food supplies by creating alternative, sustainable and nutritious proteins. This would provide a direct response to some of the most important challenges facing the planet, including climate change and global food security.
 

Food Production

Food safety is dependent on the commitment of every level of production to ensure the absence of hazards—from feed ingredient manufacturers that supply feed companies to processors responsible for the safe production of finished products for the table.

This is a realization and acceptance of the farm-to-fork analogy promoted today by the industrialized countries of the world.
